Preserving Grasslands, Ranchland, and Public Hunting Access

  • Because each wind turbine impacts only an acre or less, developing a wind farm at Yavapai Ranch would ensure thousands of acres of public and private land remain connected and accessible. As a result, existing uses would be preserved, like cattle grazing, public hunting access, and recreation.
  • Leasing a portion of land for solar generation helps ranchers diversify their income. Topsoil is preserved, and at the end of the project’s life, the land can be returned to its current condition and used at the landowner’s discretion.
